ADAS Calibration

Book an Appointment

When your windshield is replaced, most vehicles require recalibration of the camera and safety systems. Clear Vision Glass can handle both the windshield replacement and ADAS calibration in one appointment. Our trained technicians ensure the cameras and sensors are aligned to the manufacturer’s standards, keeping your vehicle’s safety systems working properly and you safe on the road.

A windshield calibration is needed to ensure the proper functioning of a vehicle's Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), like lane departure warnings and collision avoidance, by precisely aligning the cameras and sensors on the windshield.
These systems rely on accurate data interpretation for safe operation, and this alignment can be affected when replacing the windshield, as the new glass may slightly alter the sensor positioning. Without recalibration, ADAS features may malfunction, creating a safety risk on the road.

Dynamic calibration requires driving the vehicle at a set speed on well-marked roads to recalibrate the camera system, typically taking up to an hour or more, depending on the make and model of the vehicle.

Static calibration requires a target image placed in front of the vehicle for recalibration, typically taking up to an hour or more, depending on the vehicle’s make and model.

Regardless of the type of calibration, there is a possiblity you still qualify for our mobile service.

A windshield replacement with ADAS calibration typically takes around 2 hours. If additional time is needed, we'll inform you on the day of your appointment.

Windshield replacements can cause slight changes in the angle of your vehicle’s camera, which could make the difference between avoiding or causing an accident. That's why your vehicle manufacturer strongly recommends an ADAS calibration with your windshield replacement.
